UK Private Guiding (Summer & Rock) 1st - 3rd Aug '14

Written by Leader Sam Leary, August 2014

The weekend looked to be a bit soggy on the forecast but Mary and I ended up having two fantastic days out on the rock. Day one was spent climbing V,Diffs, Severes and some grade 3 scrambles in big boots as Mary wanted to practise this for her up and coming expedition to Ama Dablam in October. We managed four routes on a day that was supposed to have biblical rain fall, but we only had this one shower!

Day two had Mary leading, first a v,diff then a severe, all done very cool, calm and competently. She fancied something a bit more challenging at the end so I finished by taking her up a pair of feisty VS's which proved a bit more of a challenge but wetted her appetite to lead them. A great weekend despite the weather forecast. « | »
