Antisana - Dec '09

Written by Team Member, August 2010

“Today” actually starts the previous day, when we wake up at 11pm on Tuesday to prepare for our ascent of Antisana, which we will be climbing through the night. This is the earliest start I've ever had on any mountain, but it's worth doing in the hope that we can get views from the summit before everything clouds over. Also, as we are about to see, Antisana is a mountain of amazing ice formations which need to be passed early in the morning before they heat up and melt during the day....
