IntroductionLooking for the complete 8,000m climbing adventure? Look no further than Manaslu (8,163m), which offers an alternative to Cho Oyu for those who want to climb a more varied and challenging 8,000er. We organised our first expedition to Manaslu in the 2008 post-monsoon season. Despite heavy snowfall, our team made a herculean effort, pulling out all the stops to summit on 4 October. This was a very successful expedition, which put twelve Jagged Globe team members on top. We will build on the experience of our 2008 expedition in 2009, when we aim to return to the mountain in the spring.
Experience RequiredThe Manaslu expedition is suitable for experienced mountaineers. To join us on Manaslu, you need to be fully conversant with mountaineering techniques.
