Personally, we have been climbing 8,000 metre peaks for over 20 years, before the inception of professionally-led and guided expeditions to the Giants of the Himalaya. We used what we learnt on those mountains to launch the very first of our 8,000 metre peak expeditions and, as a professional organiser, by the mid 90's we had climbed Broad Peak, G2, Cho Oyu, Shishapangma as well as Everest from both sides (north and south).
As an innovating, world-leading provider of mountaineering adventures, we were the first British operator to climb Everest, and this year, continuing in the same vein, our team became the first British-organised team to climb the North East Face of Manaslu, placing the first British Woman, the first American Woman and the first New Zealander on one of its summits. Our huge experience of 8,000 metre climbing has enabled us to evolve the support and resources we bring to bear. Over two decades, we have refined our knowledge of how best to get each team member to the top of each mountain.

Climbing at such enormous altitudes is not safe, and the risks involved are significant. We know the level of personal commitment it takes to climb one of these gigantic mountains: physically, mentally and emotionally. You won't find any corners cut, nor compromises contemplated, and no expedition resourced better than ours. We will supply you with everything you need to at least match your expectations and aspirations, optimised for success, and reflecting the commitment you have made to the 8,000 metre mountain you have chosen to climb.

High Altitude Warning
Although safety is a major consideration during our expeditions, there are dangers involved in climbing 8,000m peaks that can not be avoided. Extreme altitude, weather, cold and other mountaineering hazards make high altitude climbing a risky occupation at the best of times. Members of our 8,000m peak expeditions need to be aware of these dangers and accept that they are an inherent part of high altitude mountaineering.
Base camp services
Base camp services are available for independent climbing teams, alongside our 8,000m expeditions. This provides a cost-effective solution to many of the more onerous aspects of expedition organisation. We take care of the permit, travel arrangements, porterage, and all meals and tents at base camp. No equipment, food or porterage is provided above base camp, unless specifically arranged in advance.Base camp services are available to experienced independent teams of not less than four climbers.
